Road Relay 0708

How time flies!

4 months ago, I was still a greenhorn to everything when I took up the task as a Team Manager for the Road Relay Guys. However in a blink of an eye, the race as well as my task came to an end. I recalled asking the other TMs where to post the TM weekly reports, when to submit the posters and TMs files for checking etc.

Line up for the 2.2km race :
1st - Chee Koon, 2nd - Wei Cheng, 3rd- Yi Wei, 4th - Mok Ying Ren, 5th - Ying Ming, 6th - Calvin

Timings clocked:
Chee Koon 8.20
Wei Cheng 8.18
Yi Wei 8.14
Mok Ying Ren 7.15
Ying Ming 7.59
Calvin 8.xx

Averge Timing for each individual: 8.0

RR Guys Standings:
Eusoff Hall - 1st
Sheares Hall - 2nd
King Edward VII - 3rd
Raffles Hall - 4th
Kent Ridge Hall- 5th
Temasek Hall - 6th

The RR guys set off 5 mins after the girls, sustained & completed their run throughout in the 4th position. Then, it was showtime! Our SEA Games gold medalist, Mok Ying Ren 'jogged' off after getting the pass from Yiwei. While waiting for his return, the atmosphere was intense. After 7 mins 15secs, vehement clappings and cheers from Shearites were heard. It was Mok! Receiving the pass from Mok, Ying Ming dashed off without much stretching and complained after his run that Mok gave him too little time to warm-up. *Ha!* Nonetheless, his timing was within 8 mins - potential! Our last runner, Calvin ran out his best timing and promised us a 2nd for IHG Road Relay 0708! Our guys did their best and efforts paid off!

Besides RR guys, the girls fought their hearts out too. They were also conferred 2nd in place! It was a close fight for the girls yesterday between TEMASEK and SHEARES. Initially the 1st runner for girls team took the lead and came in first, leaving her opponents far way behind. Nevertheless, the TH runners were just too strong and they caught up with us, leaving us settling for the 2nd position. Still, the Shearites definitely were not disheartened instead we cheered, rejoiced and immersed ourselves into that glorious moment instantly!

Anyway, thanks Captain for helping me during the trainings and at the Finals yesterday - carrying the styrofoam box filled with ice and a carton of 100plus to SRC as well as kept urging me to promote the 2 bunches of bananas to the runners! Wahahha!!! *shake head*

Captain, you are my best "assistant" with the heavy things since I am weak to carry them! Lolx.
so Sorry for not packing dinner because I really thought our finals falls on weekends. (moreover, the IHG schedule I received did not state when is RR Finals!)

Thanks 0708 Runners and Captain for all these few months! You Guys are AWESOME!
